More than 50 years after it first appeared on television, Dad's Armyremains one of the Britain's most popular and beloved comedy series.
However, three of the original 80 episodes have been lost.
In 2019, UKTV commissioned Mercury Productions to remake those shows, using the original scripts by the great Jimmy Perry and David Croft.
An amazing cast rose to the challenge of bringing these classic characters back to life:
Captain Mainwaring: Kevin McNally
Sergeant Wilson: Robert Bathurst
Lance-Corporal Jones: Kevin Eldon
Private Frazer: David Hayman
Private Godfrey: Timothy West
Private Pike: Tom Rosenthal
Private Walker: Mathew Horne
The three shows broke ratings records for UKTV's GOld network and were warmly praised by fans and critics alike.
